Finally starting...

Well I've finally purchased some of the new Dark Eldar models. I found a really good deal on TradeMe. I'm still working a list that I'm happy with, but I will be using the Baron with a large group of Hellions.

The first tentative list is.
The Baron
Haemonculus with webway portal
4 man group of Trueborn with blasters in a venom with 2 splinter cannons and a grisly trophies
15 man Hellion bomb.
12 man Wych squad with razorflails with a Hekatrix
2 ravagers with Dark lance and flickerfields.

It's not the greatest list but there are a couple of things I can do with it.
Firstly I can do the obvious pain token switch with the Hellions and the Haemonculus, and then have the Haemonculus join the Trueborn in the venom to drop off the webway portal so the Wychs can come on.
Another option is to have the Haemonculus start with the Trueborn and have the Hellions and wyches start in reserve, zip forward and drop the webway portal off first turn.

Also I'm not sure if I should stay with the razorflails or go with the hydra gauntlets. I guess I'll do a bit of trial and error.

Well back to making Hellions I guess.

A Kabal Rises

Welcome to The Archon's Court.
Here I will be blogging about my progress in re-starting my Dark Eldar army for Warhammer 40,000.
I've been playing 40k off and on since the end of 2nd edition. My main army is Space Wolves, however I have shown a small interest in other armies as well. Those others mainly being Tau and Dark Eldar. However with the advent of the new Dark Eldar codex I thought it would be time to try with them again. So my friend and I have tentatively agreed to do a Tale of Two Gamers sort of thing. He will be either starting an Ork army or restarting his Chaos army.
You can follow his progress here http://dblowes.wordpress.com/

In my next post I will be listing the army that I will be working towards. Hopefully that won't be too far away, I will be busily reading the new codex to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

So in the mean time, look to the shadows. You never know what lurks there.
